Event 2: Live From Loyola
George Saunders Radio Hour
An evening with MacArthur Genius and the Man Booker Prize-winning author, George Saunders. Raised Catholic in Chicago but now also a practicing Tibetan Buddhist, the author has a decidedly individual take on spirituality that informs his fiction. Unsettling, insightful, and hilarious, Saunders’s stories not only entertain and delight, but also “prepare us for tenderness.” Please join us for a celebration of Saunders’s novel Lincoln in the Bardo—and an evening of live readings, discussion, and surprises that will no doubt please the gathered crowd.
Thursday, March 1, 2018, 8:00-9:30 PM
Mundelein Auditorium, Loyola University Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, Lake Shore Campus, 1032 W. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60660.
